This was the first time Mason has received a caption award in semi-finals at the BOA Grand Nationals. They received the award for outstanding visuals and placed 3rd in class for AAAA.
Mason Theater is pleased to present our Halloween production of the play, Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, in our Studio Theater. This play was later adapted adapted into the famous Broadway Musical and Film of the same name. A tale of revenge, this production is sure to send chills down your spine. Running time is 1:45. Please note that this production does contain some scary moments and parents of elementary aged children should use discretion in bringing their youngest family members to the show.
Congratulations to Mason Middle School Band Director Zach Hinson who received the 2017 American School Band Directors Association (ASBDA) Foundation's Outstanding Potential Award for Young Directors. Kathy McGrady, Present-Elect of the Ohio Music Educators Association, nominated Hinson and presented the award on May 10 during the MMS Symphonic Winds Spring Concert.

On April 25, the Mason City School Board unanimously approved Superintendent Gail Kist-Kline’s recommendation to hire Johnnie B. Green as the new Mason High School Marching Band Director.
Student's work will be displayed at the District Art Show on April 28.

“Chicken on a Stick” won it all.
Performers hit the stage for the annual Talent Show on January 20. National Honor Society put on the event to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. NHS raised around $6,000 for blood cancer research.
Senior Anirudh Rajgopalan sang “Sweet Caroline” as one of the acts. Rajgopalan said he chose the familiar song to allow audience participation.
